Most importantly bass, violin and drums/percussion, but mandolin, keys or banjo could also be good. Lyrical, melodic, wide-ranging - most of the songs could be described as alternative folk (influenced by Bob Dylan, Bonnie Prince Billy, Conor Oberst, Sufjan Stevens, Elliott Smith, Mount Eerie, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Leonard Cohen) but there is also a handful of electric alternative/post-rock.
